Kuan Yin Sandalwood Bracelets
Compassion and Mercy Kuan Yin is the one "who hears the cries of the world". Legend says that Kuan yin, originally a princess, having forsaken marriage, lived her life in a convent, much to her father's anger and distrust. She was a Buddhist Bodhisattva, which is a mortal who has achieved enlightenment and earned the right to enter Heaven or Nirvana. When she was at the gates of Heaven, she heard someone on Earth cry, and she turned back, vowing that she would stay on Earth to do all she could do to ease our suffering. She would not enter Heaven until everybody could go there with her. Sandalwood is a sacred wood that has been used since ancient times to build temples and sacred objects. It is said that sandalwood brings calm and helps in meditation by bringing us closer to the Divine.
